God’s Work

Grace Episcopal Church

PROGRAMS & ORGANIZATIONS

Grace Church is a thriving Christian community with
numerous lay ministries and a full calendar of activities. The
parishioners are actively involved and donate a great deal of timeand energy to the church and the community.

A weekly Scripture discussion is held before the regular Sunday
service. During worship, children attend Christian Education or
play in the nursery. The Hospitality Hour that follows is an
important time for fellowship. Women’s and men’s groups meet
during the month to socialize.

All upcoming church events and happenings are
communicated to parishioners via the monthly newsletter and by
e-mail. Both are open to contributions from parishioners, and
include regular articles by the Rector.

Outreach, both local and global, is very important to the
people of Grace. Recently the congregation helped sponsor a
medical missionary to Liberia, as well as a youth mission to aid
displaced flood victims. The cl’iurch provides scholarships for
people of all ages to attend Camp Cross, located on Lake Coeur
d’Alene in Idaho. The church actively supports the United Thank
Offering and Millennium Development Goals, as well as many
local ministries, including:

  • Back-to-school supplies for students in low-income families
  • Use of the building for Fibromyalgia Support, Alcoholics
  • Anonymous, and the Caregivers Support Group
  • The F.I.S.H. Food bank
  • Valentine flowers for nursing home residents
  • Community Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets
  • Emergency preparedness programs
  • Lenten Alms for several local non-profit service programs
  • Gift packages for prisoners at Christmas
